Dear Mom Hummingbirds

Mother’s Day and More

Today is special for two reasons. First and foremost, today is Mother’s Day and it gives all of us the opportunity to honor our mother. My mom passed away in October of 2006, but on this very special day I still want to remember her. I love and miss you, mom! You were the best mom and you helped shape me into the women I am today. I feel so very blessed and fortunate that you were my mother. Even though it has been nearly four years since your death, you are still loved and missed each and every day and I will forever hold my memories of you within my heart.

Secondly, today is special because Mother’s Day marks the second anniversary of this blog. Hummingbirds for Mom was started as a way, through our shared love of hummingbirds, to honor and keep mom’s memory alive.
