The actual answer depends on how often the hummingbird stops to rest along the way and where they are journying to and where they are returning from. For example, a journey from the northern United States to the gulf coast would take between 5-10 days to complete depending on the number of stops made along the way. If the hummingbird tavels as far as Panama it will take the bird about two weeks to complete that journey. The hummingbirds will remain in warmer climates until it is time for them to once again head north and mate.

Today is Valentine’s Day. I hope that all of you have spent the day with someone that you love, whomever they may be. It is important to let those in our life know how much they mean to us. I feel very blessed to have so many people in my life that love and care about me, especially my boyfriend Donald. Life is too short not live it to the fullest extent possible, and for me that means trying to have as few regrets as possible.
Today is also a day of sadness for me as well. My mom is no longer living, so special days like today make me miss her even more then usual. Never doubt mom, you will always remain alive in my heart and in my memories. What I wouldn’t give for one of your hugs or to hear your voice once again…
